There is special texture of Puligny-Montrachet that sets it apart from the surrounding villages. At its best, it is creamy, delicate and tender and this 2015 from Olivier Leflaive is a stunning example. Franck Grux cleverly combines parcels from across the village, to bring complexity and character to the final wine. The 2015 is immediately floral, peachy and enticing. The ripe fruit and sublime silkiness are underpinned by a lovely delicate acidity that brings a fine, lemony freshness. It will be approachable from the summer of 2017 and continue to mature beautifully for five years thereafter.
