These vines, located in the First Growth Les Vergers, were planted in 1996, and have always been cultivated organically. Capturing the grapes’ natural, racy freshness is of paramount importance to winemaker Franck Grux, and here he has again succeeded superbly. He picked the grapes slightly earlier than usual, and their sugars have given a wine of modest richness (12.9° natural alcohol), so there is a lively, refreshing finish. Colour is a lovely green-gold, the aromas being very fine and elegant. This is not a flamboyant wine, but shows brilliant fruit intensity, refined texture with discreet but enchanting, crisp length (for drinking 2018-2024+).
