This vineyard is situated at the heart of the slope, just south of the village of Chassagne. Blain-Gagnard’s holdings run from the bottom to the top of the plot, giving an intricate wine of great complexity. Partly the soils are white, with many pebbles; then higher up, they are marly, with fossil shells. The colour is pale, green-golden, with amply ripe, peach and pear aromas. Palate is broad, with magnificent fruit concentration, creamy texture and harmonious, refreshing aftertaste of excellent length (for drinking 2017-2025+).
