Tasted alongside the Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet, this Bâtard-Montrachet is lemon-gold in colour, with aromas which are both complex and ripe, though still discreet. Palate is rich, with magnificent structure, impressively dense fruit concentration and creamy texture. It is presently a more sober wine, but its intrinsic quality is strikingly clear. This is a great bottle, requiring a few extra years cool cellarage to realise its superb potential (for drinking 2019-2027+).
