This Grand Cru is from grapes which the family has been buying since the 2008 vintage. Having started fermentation in stainless steel tank, to allow for precise temperature control, it was transferred into six French oak barrels, which were previously used for an average of five vintages. This meticulous use of old barrels contributes structure and complexity of flavour to the wine, without masking chablisienne verve and freshness. Green-golden in colour, it shows ripe peach and lime aromas on the nose, and superb depth of fruitiness on the palate. It has satisfying crispness and lovely length (for drinking 2017–2022+).
