Father and son team Dominique and Romain Cornin make biodynamic wines that are intense and finely textured. Their “Les Chevrières” Pouilly-Fuissé comes from vines located at the top of the hill overlooking the village of Chaintré, clinging to thin clay soil rooted in hard limestone. We are thrilled to have shipped a little more of their outstanding 2014 Chevrières. The wine was fermented in 600 litre barrels, to subdue oak flavour whilst bringing texture and rounded character. It has very fresh, fine, floral aromas, with complex mineral, citrusy flavours on the palate. This is a rich, well-structured wine that remains precise and taut in style, with silky textures and tremendous length of flavour.
