Faiveley has a superb estate on the Côte Chalonnaise, and a separate, newlyrenovated winery in Mercurey to handle all the fruit as near to the vineyards as possible. They are sole proprietor of this vineyard, which is regularly their best white from the district. It is now two-thirds vinified in stainless steel tank, with the balance in oak barrels. In colour, this is pale green-gold, the nose showing very fresh, citrus character. The palate combines splendid power with rich structure, freshness and length (for drinking 2016-2020).
