This is a superb Grand Cru addition to our Dampt listings, which we introduced for the first time last year. It was made from grapes which the family has been buying since 2008. It fermented in small, not-new barrels, with extended leescontact but no stirring. Just six barrels were made, the wine being brilliant, greengolden, with ripely spicy, characterful aromas. The palate is full and rich, with the striking vivacity which characterises the best 2014s – the finish is long, balanced and elegant, for drinking 2016-2022+.
