Born and brought up in Brouilly, Gilbert Chetaille knows the slopes of the Côte like the back of his hand. This may help to explain the precision and purity in his wine. The 2016 has a beautifully bright, purple-ruby colour, with enticing raspberry-scented aromas. The palate is medium bodied and vibrantly flavoured, recalling pure, crunchy red berries. This is a superb, youthful wine: a lively mouthful that will leave one suitably refreshed.
