“This is my baby,” says Thomas Bouley, “I love this vineyard. Its gentle slope, and the way it is favourably exposed (facing south-east) to hasten ripening. The soil is unusually red.” He makes a maximum 6 or 7 barrels per vintage (giving around 140-170 cases), so allocations are always tight. Colour is medium-deep, purpleruby, the nose being very floral and ripe. The palate shows bright, dense fruitiness, with silky texture, remarkable complexity and a lovely finish (for drinking 2018- 2030+).
