These grapes were harvested from two 40-year-old plots which lie downhill from Chassagne’s road to Santenay. Champs de Morjot, and Les Lombardes. Marc-Antonin chose to ferment with 1/3 whole-bunches in 2013, de-stemming the balance. After 4-5 days of cool, prefermentation maceration, natural yeasts transformed the sugars into a wine of medium-purple colour, with abundantly ripe, refreshing aromas. The palate is full-bodied, with splendid fruit intensity, fine tannins and refreshing, brisk finish (for drinking 2016-2020+).
