Chapelle-Chambertin lies directly downhill from Chambertin Clos de Bèze, but is quite different in character. Fragrant when youthful, it has delicacy with succulent texture and gentle tannins. This is again one of the most exciting wines in the cellar, with spicy, fine aromas and ebullient fruitiness. The palate shows good structure, with balanced acidity and ripe, fresh, long-lasting aftertaste (for drinking 2017-2025+).
