This is a great value Burgundian Pinot Noir made from a blend of grapes from two areas. one above Saint-Aubin, and another to the south of the commune, near the First Growth vineyards of Maranges. But why is it so good? The answer lies with the vines themselves. They are really fine Pinots, producing small berrries with thick skins – and half of the plantings are old vines. The colour is pale red-purple, the nose being pure and fruity. The palate is pretty and round, with gentle tannins – very refreshing (for immediate drinking).
