Between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée, this vineyard lies only 200 metres south of Les Damodes, but the land is steeper, and the wines are strikingly different. Les Chaignots has aromas which recall moka coffee and chocolate, while the palate encapsulates the richness, with elegance, of the best wines from this sector. All aspects are in perfect harmony, including fully ripened tannins, finishing with a spectacularly complex, superb aftertaste.
